Something may be wrong with my guitar?

It sounds like that could be an earthing wire so when you play the guitar it might cause a lot of hum to happen. Take it to a music store to be on the safe side, don't need to be blowing up your amplifier lol. Someone could probably fix it for you right in the store while you browse around. Sounds like maybe a $10 to 20 bucks quick fix.
