Does anyone remember a gorgeous animation that was on tv one christmas in the 90s? Most likely 1994-1996. Building a foundation?

Build a form around the concrete slab. Lever the edges, making sure it raises the area the half inch on the one side. Buy mortar mix -enough to cover the lower area and raise the entire area a bit for looks- mix it and pour it into the frame around the base. Take a 2 x 4 and smooth the top of the mortar by laying the board across the rectangular frame. The mortar or concrete should come to the top of the form and the 2 x 4 should slid across it smoothly for a nice finish. The board is only used to smooth the concrete and must be removed once level to allow the new elevation to dry. Once dry, remove the wooden frame or form so there will be no need for worrying about wood rot because the foundation will be concrete. Set your shed on the dry concrete and you are ready to go!!!

Why does Alcoholics Anonymous claim that I am "powerless" over alcohol?

I wonder if the people in AA believe that alcohol addiction is a permanent addiction that never completely goes away...that would go a long way toward explaining why they would say a person is "powerless" to control their addictive behavior. Personally, I don't think it's a good idea to tell someone that they're powerless to control any type of behavior because (a) it's really not true -- you can change anything about your behavior if you want to badly enough and are willing to do whatever it takes to do it, even if it's painful or inconvenient, and (b) it gives drug and alcohol addicts a built-in excuse that turns many of them into wimpy victims. Sorry, that's a crock -- being a drug addict or an alcoholic or overweight doesn't mean you're a bad person, but it DOES mean that you have learned some harmful behaviors that have to be un-learned if you want to change.

What are some things that my green spotted puffers could play with?

I have two green spotted puffers, they are small and live together in a 10 gallon tank. I have no problem with them in there, they are still young so I have not turned it into a brackish tank yet. But any tips about that i would appreciate. I was wondering if there are any household items that I could use as a toy to keep them occupied. I have a large piece of dead coral with bubbles underneath and a forest of plants around it. in the middle i have a thing with holes for them to swim and hide in. resting against that i have a large shell that i made into a tunnel so that they can hide and swim through there. on the other side of the tank i have 2 more plants ( not next to eachother) and some open space for them to swim. there is gravel on the floor and i have 2 lights. There is a time and place for everything. I personally have no problem cursing but I know sometimes I shouldn't such as in front of the people in my graduate school program because I know many of them think people who curse a lot are idiots because they can't think of a better word to convey what they want to say (obviously I'm not dumb if I'm in grad school though). I don't curse at my job since it's not professional and I try not to curse in public because someone may be offended and a lot of people think a girl cursing is tacky and I don't want any problems. When I'm at home with my boyfriend though it's a different story. I don't think profanity is bad, it's just words but I like to be courteous to the people around me.

I do think therapy would help, but you are right; it costs a lot. But I think you need some sort of ally that you can talk openly to, who can help you explore this issue from the ground up. There are some therapists out there who do pro bono (free) work for people with low incomes. If not a therapist, then maybe find a support group where you can really talk about this stuff and see that other people go through it too, and that there is hope for you. There are even online support groups you could try. ok then, so you have to move all numbers to one side so if I take your 1st question it is X^2+2X-3=0. then you have to factor which I should believe come to (X+3)(X-1)=0. the you have to solve for X but be careful, quadratics generally have 2 answers to this. so to do this, you either let x+3=0 or x-1=0 then solve for X and you have your answers. this is general format to solving quadratic equations. its either factoring or Quadratic formula if you know it yet!

My oscar is spitting up white flakes?

Our tank seems to have been bombarded witha virity of ailments. Our oscar seems to be the only one negitvly effected by these. He start getting white crstal like things on his fins so we treated it for ick, the water started getting extremely cloudy so we did a 25% water change and treating with stress coat. Sudden weight loss right after start of workout--scary or effective?

last thursday i started a new exercise regimen after being fairly inactive for an extended period of time. (gotta love the confined office jobs.) 10 minutes on the elliptical, 15 on the treadmill. also light weights for the arms; 12 reps four ways. this makes for a little under 30 minutes a day. i have combined this with drinking 64 oz of water a day, and cutting down on bad foods. last monday at the doctor's office i clocked in at 166; i went home to my own scale and it was the same thing. 166. this morning, after the 30-minute regimen going since thursday, i checked the scale and i was 157. my clothes aren't really that much looser. should i be panicked? or is this a good thing? thank you!

i started playing video games when the snes came out, and mortal kombat and mario were the first games i ever played. and from that point on until i was maybe 14 or 16 i had played the marios and zeldas all on my n64 and gameboy/gba. then i got my xbox and from there took off into the more mature games. i eventually got a gamecube, but didnt find myself loving it. later on i got my 360 and have been using it constantly since then. i have bought a ds and liked it at first and then got rid of it (unfortuantly this has happened many times through the use of trade ins X( and it has become a huge money waster). now my family has bought a wii for the lil ones in my house and i rarely touch it (sometimes i will find myself playing mario galaxy or zelda tp...before becoming very bored). now i do have a ds at the moment and will not trade it in...due to it being a waste of money. i would love to relive the days of being younger and being intrigued by those older nintendo games, but now a days (im 19 btw) i feel more compelled by the mature games such as cod or halo. my question is to anyone who has experienced this or who wants to chime in at all, is it possible to feel that kind of enjoyment again, and how? or do you just realize that your attempts are useless and you just go and enjoy what you have now? thank you for your time!

Well it doesn't worsen, it just feels like it's getting worse because it's untreated and you recognized the symptoms more. ADHD / ADD is when you feel like you can't concentrate no matter what you do, you may feel voices in your head talking to you when you want it to stop and it gets in the way of your studies, meetings, things you need high focus on. Sometimes you become forgetful to tasks people ask you to do, in which I happen to write things down so I get the memo the next morning. Getting distracted easily is a sign, but it's mainly focus or your thoughts are going too fast to keep up with it distracts u or makes it harder for you to focus on the things you need/want to.

Liquid eyeliner. I worked at a salon for two years and got really good at doing makeup... the best tip for liquid eyeliner is to go really slow and just do 1/8" at a time. It takes a little while, but it stays really bold and looks awesome once you get the hang of it.

Spouse hiding something?

Hi, I've been married for a long time. My mate has always had a hard time keeping a job. Consequently, I'm the only one working right now. I take care of all bill, my home, child, etc. We have had some bad fights because of him smoking pot (he's in his 30's) and not helping me clean house. Tubal and strange period.?

I have three kids and my youngest is 7 months. I had my tubes tied at the delivery and everything went well. After I had him, I had a c-section, I noticed a lot of pulling and twinges in my ab. Seemed pretty normal after a c and traumatic delivery. I am also 35 so, even though it was a bit painful for longer than when I had my first c-section 14 years ago I contributed it to my age mostly. I will withhold my opinion until I give out the BA. While Mike Tyson was the most explosive and entertaining heavyweight since Ali when he came out on the scene, a string of title victories and then his subsequent defeat to mediocre fighter Buster Douglas. Wladimir Klitschko is an Olympic Gold medalist and an accomplished heavyweight champ just like Tyson although he is not exciting and seems to get only respect in the European boxing community. He was KO'd by 2 mediocre opponents, but has dominated the division for awhile now. He has defeated several top contenders including Eddie Chambers and he dominates them. He is always in shape and never comes in disappointing. While I feel Wladimir lacks the charisma and him being non-American, I think he is overlooked. Tyson is constantly seen on top 20 heavyweight lists even top 10, but I ask, who is the more accomplished heavyweight? My friend has that amp and from what I've seen, it has a great clean tone. It has some nice effects like wah and octave which plays the note you're playing an octave lower along with the note you're playing. It's fun to mess with and is pretty awesome. I recently watched 3 seasons of Veronica Mars and enjoy them. Or, the first 2, anyway. I'm looking for a show that's kind of similar, but more in the Gilmore Girls vain, which I've watched all of. When blasting a fibergl boat to remove anti-fouling paint they typically soda blast it. Its much finer then sand and does not tear up the gl. It leaves a great surface for the new coat of paint. After many years of re-coating for bottom paint it is a good idea to remove the many layers. This also lets you epoxy coat the bottom. Another way to remove the paint is by chemical. There are products available to paint on the bottom to remove the paint. I would blast it.

Try to use a more educated sounding style or writing and create a true story plot with a beginning middle and end. Today I traded in a 03 Durango 52,000 mi w/3rd row seats for $6125 for a 05 Ford 500 w/27,900 mi for $14,700?

Could you tell me if I was ripped off? The Ford Five Hundred SEL has a 6 cyl, driver airbag, cloth seats, is front wheel drive, a 6 cd changer and is automatic. My Durango that I traded in had 4 wheel drive, single cd player, p/w, power seats, 3rd row, roof rack and was an 8 cyl.Also still had factory warranty and one year left on my standard used car dealership warranty. Oh my, I know my vet would have done more than just recomend something. We've taken dogs in with upset stomaches before and he did a LOT more. Make sure he drinks water. Take him back to the vet, or to a different one. Some dog's noses are dry. If he's not acting like himself, and not wanting to eat, take him back within a day or so. You seem like a good caretaker, it's good that you worry, even though your vet thinks that it isn't anything serious. At least call your vet and tell them what's going on and ask them. Good luck!

I am the person who relies on alcohol for a social lubricant seeing as I have social anxiety, I will not drink all week, but come friday and saturday, I tie one on with the boys, and sometimes drink a little too much... Now, when I first started drinking 8 years ago, I could feel that great feeling deep into my legs when I downed that first beer, not drunk or anything, as I am a 195lb guy, but it would only take me 6 beers or so before I needed to level off, Now, it seems when I have my first few beers, I dont get that buzzed, and it takes more to reach the "zone" that I have learned is my comfort level, Its not that I feel I require a higher level of intoxication either, just takes more, I never drink during the week, so shouldnt my tolerance stay fairly low?

Well i was in the kitchen and my friend jack came along and sat in the kitchen next to me and starting eating cereal when i didn't even tell him to get any. Why do people keep disappointing me?

It seems like everyone lets me down, and I don't have outrageous of expectations. I would just like to be offered the same courtesy that I offer them: promptly returning phone calls, emails etc. I just found out that the girl who was my maid of honor (and I was hers too) was in town again with her family and never bothered calling since she was too busy with her other friends. Did I do the right thing?

I dated this guy and I fell in love with him, head over heels. However, I found out that he was purchasing drugs (b/c he used my laptop) and tried talking to him about it. He went to get counseling and promised me he was done. Throughout this process I found several more e-mails about him purchasing drugs (narcotics, pain pills, etc.) and finally I just snapped. I broke up with him because I couldn't take it anymore. He claims that if I really loved him I wouldn't have broken up with him and he swears that he doesn't have a drug problem. But if he doesn't have a drug problem, then why all the emails trying to purchase them?! He makes me feel like I'm crazy for saying he has a drug problem. Ortho lo...discharge. Whats the deal!!??

So I started with Yaz, but it made me psycho so I switched to Ortho tri cyclen lo(which made the psycho-ness better).
