Double standard regarding Islam?

The recent hype about the Islamic text being burned caught such a media firestorm, yet when religions like Christianity and Judaism are repeatedly denounced and belittled we don't hear anything about it on television? Remember the controversy regarding the South Park episode showing the prophet Muhammad? We all heard about this on news channels, yet when Jesus is depicted in South Park in a disrespectful manner we don't see or hear stories about Christians making death threats? Recently the news is focusing on how mistreated Islam is, but they don't seem to mention all the disrespect other religions get. Why is this?
