Sticky bits on my gums after brushing my teeth?

Does anyone else get this?? About an hour after I brush my teeth (only at night, I don't notice if I get it in the morning, probably cos I eat and drink after), I get these sticky bits on my gums, a bit like glue. It's not toothpaste, or saliva or phlegm- what is it?!
