Should a fibregl hull be shot blasted to remove anti foul , is it good practice?

When blasting a fibergl boat to remove anti-fouling paint they typically soda blast it. Its much finer then sand and does not tear up the gl. It leaves a great surface for the new coat of paint. After many years of re-coating for bottom paint it is a good idea to remove the many layers. This also lets you epoxy coat the bottom. Another way to remove the paint is by chemical. There are products available to paint on the bottom to remove the paint. I would blast it.
